Washington D.C park closed after WWI-era munitions had been discovered — and more may be hidden there

Citadel Totten Park in Washington, D.C., is closed after world struggle I-technology munitions had been found there this spring, and park officials say there may be extra.
The Civil battle-era citadel, located three miles north of the Capitol, is fenced, blocked with cement limitations and bears “no trespassing” signs and symptoms, the country wide Park carrier said Thursday.
Metal canisters have been observed within the park on April
18 after “unauthorized paintings carried out with the aid of an adjoining
assets proprietor driven approximately 10 toes of soil onto NPS land,” the park
carrier said
